Gratitude Month | Day 10

Home from my PhD class tonight so it feels fitting to say I’m especially grateful for nearing the end of my coursework and soon moving into the research and dissertation phase. I’ve always loved learning, but nothing says “lifelong learner” quite like juggling late-night papers, dense readings, and APA formatting - it’s humbling, challenging, and oddly rewarding all at once.

I’m surrounded by incredible faculty and classmates who challenge me, inspire me, and remind me why I chose this path - to keep growing as an educator, a leader, and a human who now fully understands why students sometimes need an extension.

The photo from my desk says it all: Goal Getter. Dream Big. Inspire. And yes, those rocks represent my “Big Rocks of Life”, education being one of them. Missing from the photo? The ever-present caffeine supply keeping this dream alive.
