Gratitude Month | Day 22

Today I’m grateful for my dear family friend, Sharon Easterday. Sharon and my mom were friends since elementary school, and because I was an only child and her son, Charles, was too, we grew up together. Our game nights are some of my favorite childhood memories while Mom and Sharon caught up like only lifelong friends can.

Sharon was a talented nurse manager and deeply respected in her field. Even as her health declined in recent years, she always stayed connected through social and never missed a chance to send a kind comment about our family milestones. She lost her battle with cancer last month, and she’ll be missed more than I can say.

Today I’m grateful for her friendship, her kindness, and the impact she had on both my life and my mom’s.
