Gratitude Month | Day 6 | 2026

Day 6 of gratitude 💛

See that little screen at the front of the room? That’s where our teammates from the University of Bristol in England joined us via zoom. For four weeks, they worked with my University of Dayton School of Business Administration students in MKT 435, New Product Development, to develop new product ideas together.

We do this through COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) a program I learned about from Sangita Gosalia at the University of Dayton, and it’s one of my favorite parts of the course. I love that my students can walk into class in Dayton and find themselves working with teammates an ocean away.

I’m so grateful to Peter Bartlett, Senior Lecturer in Design Thinking at the University of Bristol’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, for your collaboration on the project. And to our students in Bristol and Dayton, thank you for sharing your ideas and being open to where someone else’s idea might take you. I loved seeing what you came up with together.
